Obituary for Rosalee Breland Hessler
Rosalee Breland Hessler, 94, of Martinsburg passed away on Saturday, March 11, 2023 at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, MD.
Born October 11, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Harry Christopher Thompson, Sr. and Hester Bell Ferguson Thompson.
Rosalee was a CNA at City Hospital. She obtained her piano teacher degree certificate. She was a piano teacher and studied with a conservatory teacher. She also enjoyed her time as a piano player for the Martinsburg Kitchen Band. She was a member of the Old School Primitive Baptist Church in Montrose, WV.
Rosalee is survived by sons Nelson L. Breland, Jr. (Pilar), Darren D. Breland (Lynda); daughters Emma Noreen Harvey (John), June M. Davis (Paul); sister Beatrice Edyth Yost; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Nelson L. Breland, Sr., and her second husband, Hanson Hessler; sons, Ronald L. Breland and Stephen D. Breland; and brothers Allen E. Thompson, Harry C. Thompson, Jr.
Services and interment are private.
