Obituary for Rosa Lee Wood (Hess)
Rosa Lee Wood, 90, of Hedgesville passed away on Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.
Born July 15, 1930 in Martinsburg, WV she was the daughter of the late Walter Thomas and Mina Butts Hess.
She is survived by three sons, Roy Wood, Jr., Rickie Wood, Larry Wood; five daughters, Vickie Basore, Mary Wood, Patricia Wood, Nancy Wood, and Frances Orr; twenty-one grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
She was the last of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Dean Wood, Sr.; one son, Walter Wood; twin sons at birth; and two daughters, Elizabeth Beall and Cathy Young.
The Brown Funeral Home will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours of 6:00PM to 8:00PM on Sunday, October 25, 2020.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 26, 2020 at 1:00PM at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Edward Myers officiating.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
