Obituary for Ronald Massenburg
Ronald Massenburg, Jr., 52, of Martinsburg, passed away Wednesday, April 13, 2022, in Martinsburg after a long illness with cancer at his home.
Born January 24, 1970, in Baltimore, MD, he is the son of Phyllis Basil Massenburg and the late Ronald Massenburg, Sr.
Ronald was an adventurer, he enjoyed horseback riding, 4-wheeling and riding his motorcycle. His true passion was sports, both playing and watching football and basketball.
In 2001, he completed his education at James Rumsey Technical Institute where he obtained his CDL license. He was a long haul, 18-wheel truck driver for seven years. After retiring from truck driving, Ronald was employed at the VA Medical Center.
He is survived by his wife YoShawn Williams Massenburg of 26 years; one son, Darion Massenburg and one daughter, Kalynn Burger, both of Ranson; one brother Tirrel Morton and one sister, Veronica Bassil, both of Baltimore, MD; and a hosts of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral service will be held Friday, April 22, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Destiny Baptist Church with Elder John Price officitating. Family will receive friends one-hour prior to the service at the church.
Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
