Roger Cleveland Greenfield, 69, of Martinsburg, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 14, 2021.
Born September 10, 1951, Roger was the son of the late George and Jessie (Hess) Greenfield.
Roger was a graduate of Martinsburg High School Class of 1971. While attending MHS he set records in both football and wrestling. On April 2, 2003 he married his wife, Victoria “Vickie” Streets Greenfield. The two of them enjoyed traveling to their favorite destinations including Myrtle Beach, SC, Las Vegas, NV, Orlando, FL, and the Bahamas. In his professional career he was the owner of Greenfield Corp. where he designed and installed heating and cooling equipment. Roger was best known for his experience in steam boilers. After retiring from his business, he would continue to work at Hollywood Casino at Charles Town in the security department, Southern States as an HVAC technician, and most recently at Potomac Farms’ Nursery. Throughout his employment Roger would form lifelong friendships. All were very dear to him but his Sunday morning breakfast group including Clifton Carter, Bruce Davis, and Ashley Price was his most special. He loved each of them dearly. He attended Crossroads Church in Martinsburg. Throughout his life he was an avid sports fan and supporter of Martinsburg High School Bulldog Football and WVU football and basketball.
He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, friend, and granddaddy. He is survived by his wife; two sons, Ethan Greenfield (Tosha), and Evan Greenfield, both of Martinsburg; daughter, Erinn Kittle (Charles), of Wheeling, WV; step-children, Andrea Jenkins (Shad), of Martinsburg, and Matthew Armel (Brittany), of Inwood; seven grandchildren, Austin Greenfield, Devon Berry (Carly), Kayla Kittle, Hailey Kittle, Collin Jenkins, Dathan Greenfield, and Camden Kittle; two great grandchildren, Adare George and Kai Berry; three brothers, Wayne Greenfield, Scott Greenfield (Deborah), and George “GC” Greenfield (Christine); one sister, Judy Turner; special cousin, James “Jr” Hess (Sandy); and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 2-3 PM and the funeral service will take place at 3PM at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Sarah Panek officiating.
Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
