Obituary for Robert Andrew Shipley
Robert Andrew Shipley, 86, of Inwood, WV, passed away on Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born December 24, 1934 in Shepherdstown, WV, he was the son of the late Kenneth Shipley and Ellen Jane (Faulkner) Shipley.
He retired from General Motors. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force. Additionally, he was a member of the Pikeside United Methodist Church. He enjoyed fishing, gardening, and was an avid fan of all Musselman High School sports.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Naomi R. Shipley; two sons, Craig, and Lyle Shipley; one daughter, Karen E. Reimels and husband, Paul; six grandchildren, Matthew, and Christopher Reimels, Kaitlyn, and Jacob Shipley, and Nicolas, and Natalie Shipley; one brother, Gary Shipley and wife, Betty; one sister, Velma Lawson; and sister-in-law, Barbara Shipley.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Larry Shipley; and a sister, Emily Buracker.
Private graveside service at Rosedale Cemetery with Military Honors.
