Robert William Robinson, 84, of Martinsburg, passed away Monday, January 30, 2023 at his residence.

Born November 8, 1938 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Roy William Robinson and Jane Pearrell Robinson.

He was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and retired from General Motors.

He was a member of the Bedington Volunteer Fire Dept. and was a referee for high school sports for 38 years and also an employee of the Summit Point Motor Sports Training Center.

He is survived by his son, Robert W. “Bobby” Robinson of Martinsburg; two daughters, Donna Merceruio and Cathy Kursey, of Martinsburg; three grandchildren, Jennifer and Dustin Albright, and Kaitlyn V. Robinson; four great grandchildren; two brothers, James R. "Cracker" Robinson, and Andrew E. Robinson of Martinsburg; and sister, Elva J. “Sis” Taylor.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Gwen Ann (Boyer) Robinson; daughter, Bonnie K. Robinson; and brothers, Roy David Robinson, and Howard L. Robinson.

The family would like to send a special thank you to, Aunt “Sis” Robinson for the extra love and care she provided for Robert.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Brown Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held Thursday, February 2, 2023 at 11 am at the funeral home.

Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
