Rebecca Jean Davis (Becky), 75, of Summit Point, passed away Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Hospice of the Panhandle in Kearneysville surrounding by her family.

Born October 6, 1947, Kings Daughter hospital, Martinsburg WV. She was the daughter of the late David Brackett and Willadine Viands Brackett.

Rebecca was an independent author and writer. Mother to JD. and many others in the neighborhood. She was an avid reader, a wonderful cook, very proud of her family, and had a love of animals, and learning. She will truly be missed.

She is survived by her son, John Davis (J.D.), and his wife Charlotte. Three grandsons: Alex Davis and wife Stephanie, Joshua Davis, and Jordan Davis. Two great granddaughters: Hadley Davis and Remi Davis. Two brothers, David Brackett, Jr., and Jay Brackett and wife Terry; and one sister Doris Loudan. She also had nieces and nephews whom she loved.

In addition to her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband, John "Ed" Edward Davis, Jr..

A celebration of life will occur at a later date.
