Obituary for Ralph Austin "Mr. Fix It" Landis
Ralph Austin Landis went home to be with the Lord on January 7, 2021. He was born in Antioch, West Virginia on 10 October 1946 to Clyde and Nellie Boyer Landis.
He was a devoted husband for 55 years to his wife Donna Lee (Ayers) Landis; a compassionate father to Angela Landis Payne and Robert (Bob) Joseph Landis; a loyal brother to Jeffrey Landis, Hazel Largent, Elva Trenton, Dewey Kerns, Dalton Landis, and Harry Kerns; brother-in-law, father-in-law, uncle, and dependable friend to countless others.
Ralph loved traveling, reading, spending time with family and friends. He was to many Mr. Fix-It as there wasn’t anything mechanical he couldn’t fix once he put his mind to it.
His joy was found in serving the Lord by always helping anyone in need. May his legacy be for all who knew him to do the same, “Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord” Colossians 3:23. Private services will be held.
To help others learn about heart disease and prevention, the family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the American Heart Association.
