Obituary for Phyllis Florene Dove (Cavanaugh)
Phyllis Florene Cavanaugh Dove, 87, of Kearneysville, WV passed away on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Countryside Assisted Living.
Born November 12, 1933 in Mifflin, PA she was the daughter of the late William C. Cavanaugh and Helen Elizabeth James Cavanaugh.
Phyllis was a member of Marvin Chapel United Methodist Church. She was a graduate of Harrisburg Polytechnic Institute.
She retired from the VA Medical Center as a Registered Nurse with over 50 years of service, of which 40 years was in the OR.
She is survived by one daughter, Vicki J Orr and husband, Michael; four grandchildren, Jennifer Orr and partner, Katie Kilcollin, DDS., Julie Bolyard and husband, Phillip, Rebecca Orr Wachtel and husband, Jonathan, and Laura Orr Rogers and husband, Chase; seven great grandchildren, Isabelle Bolyard, Grant Bolyard and Isaac Bolyard, Sutton Wachtel and Fletcher Wachtel, Burkley Rogers and Oaklee Rogers; one sister, Donna Carolus and husband, Harold; and one sister-in-law, Dorothy Kratzer.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Dove; two brothers, James Kratzer and Richard Kratzer.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, January 18, 2021 at 11:00 at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor John Lewis officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens Cemetery.
