Obituary for Peter Gustav Dufourny
Beloved husband, best friend, father, grandPA and brother, Peter Gustav Dufourny, died unexpectedly at home Tuesday, October 27, 2020.
Peter loved spending time and traveling with his family. He was a KCBS master certified and international BBQ judge and thoroughly enjoyed that sport. He was a part of many community activities including being a long-time member and treasurer of Trinity Episcopal Church Martinsburg, as well as treasurer of Martinsburg Rotary International and CCAP Loaves and Fishes. His diverse career included financial positions as well as owning a family candy store, Pete’s Sweets.
Peter is survived by his childhood sweetheart, Jane, to whom he was married for 48 years. Peter cherished the time he spent with his son Erik, daughter Katrina and grandson Rowen. He was the oldest of four siblings, leaving Caroline, Paul and David, as well as a niece and two nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 200 W King Street, Martinsburg, WV 25401.
Service and interment will be private.
