Paul Edward Shuyler, 71, of Martinsburg, WV passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Hopsice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.
Born February 5, 1950 in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late Virginia and Robert Shuyler.
He was preceded in death by one son, Paul Ryan Shuyler.
He is survived by his wife, Janine Shuyler; one daughter, Casey Holland; one brother Robert Shuyler and wife Linda Shuyler; one sister, Karen Schleuss and husband Samuel Schleuss; two grandsons, Nicholas Holland, and Jason Roemer; four spoiled pups, Buddy-Lee, Sarge, Rudy, and Rocky; as well as many nephews and nieces.
Paul was a veteran of the United Stated Marine Corp. and served honorably in Vietnam from 1970 to 1971.
Paul was a blaster for over forty years, and this was his true passion. He was very accomplished in his work and taught many others the craft. His second passion was grocery shopping. He was always looking for a deal and gave away as many groceries as he kept. He was also well versed in history and politics; if you ever had a question on either subject, he was the person to ask.
Paul was a true free spirit, and if you ever thought, “No he wouldn’t do that!”, he would. He had a unique sense of humor that was quick and stunning in its quirkiness. He did things his way and was a force to be reckoned with.
The family would like to thank the many friends who came to visit Paul and offer their support. It meant a lot to him.
It was Paul’s request to have no funeral or memorial service as he didn’t like going to them himself.
If you would like to make a donation in his memory, please give to an animal shelter of your choice.
Rest easy Paul, we will carry the line from here.
