Obituary for Paul David Hubbard

Paul David Hubbard, 87 of Falling Waters, WV, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 2, 2021.

Born March 18, 1933 in Newport News, VA, he was the son of the late Rev. Linwood Hubbard and Hallie (Croxton) Hubbard.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Daniel Hubbard, and sister Ruth Hoover.

He is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Ramona (Erdie) Hubbard; two sons, Leonard W. Hubbard and Paul D. Hubbard Jr. and his wife Anita Hubbard; grandson Nathaniel D. Hubbard and his wife Jennifer Hubbard; three great-granddaughters Hailey, McKinzie and Paytyn; Brother J. Noah Hubbard and his wife Mary Lou Hubbard; and many nieces and nephews.

He was a decorated Korean War Veteran, serving 4 years as an Airman First Class for the 36th Air Division.

After proudly serving his country, he graduated from West Virginia University with a degree in Engineering and Mining. He worked for Texaco as a Petroleum Engineer and then served 30 years with the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, retiring as a Deputy Director.

After his retirement, he enjoyed travel, gourmet cooking, gardening and golf and was especially fond of spending time with his great-granddaughters. He had a passion for architecture, home design, building and restoring furniture and was an accomplished Golfsmith. He was a man of much knowledge with many talents and hobbies, which he always enjoyed sharing with others and which we will always cherish.

Interment will be private. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
