On October 27, 2020, Our Lord Savior called home Patricia Ellen Shiley Dodd surrounded by her family.
Patricia, also known as “Pat”, was born February 28, 1940 to the late Thomas Shiley and Pearl Triggs Shiley.
Pat was well known by all. Pat and her ex-husband Roger Clower, Sr. owned and operated Clowers Restaurant and Tasty Freeze, then later was the sole owner Pat’s Restaurant.
Pat enjoyed family gatherings especially around the holidays with her sister’s and brother’s. Pat and Ike enjoyed camping. Their favorite place was Myrtle Beach with her daughter and family until she fell ill.
Pat leaves behind her husband, Isaac Dodd; two sons, Roger Glen Clower, Jr. and wife, Natalie, and Steven Clower; one daughter, Jennifer Clower Busey and husband, Rodney; one step daughter, Dorothy Dodd McKenzie and husband, Jim; four grandchildren, Brent Clower, Candice Clower, Owen Busey, and Olivia Busey; two great grandchildren, Seth Klahre and Allen Klahre; two sisters, Ruth Lopp and Joann Plotner; and many nieces and nephews that she loved as her own.
She was preceded in death by five brothers, Thomas Jr., Max, Frank, Ted, and Ray Shiley; and four sisters, Catherine Greenwalt, Phyllis Triggs, Judy Hoover and Audrey Bender.
On behalf of the family, they would like to thank Hospice of the Panhandle WV, the nurses at Gainesville Rehab in Virginia, and others that helped in many ways while she was at home.
There will be a gathering after the ceremony. Location will be announced at the funeral service.
Funeral service will be held at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Patrick McCoy officiating.
The chapel will be open only from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service to receive friends. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives. Interment will be in Bunker Hill Cemetery.
