Obituary for Ola Gregory, Jr.
Ola Gregory Jr., 92, of Stony Point, passed away Thursday, October 30, 2020 at the VA Medical Center.
Born January 3, 1928 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Ola Gregory, Sr., and Bertha M. Gregory (Carper).
Ola served in the US Army. He loved trains, spending time at the river, fishing, boating, and skiing.
He is survived by his wife, Katheryn M. Gregory; a son, Ola Junior Gregory III; a daughter, Lisa Sams; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 6 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Francis Crowell; and a sister, Dorothy Quinn.
The Brown Funeral Home will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours of 6:00 to 8:00p.m. on Monday, November 2, 2020. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Services will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jay Sams, II, Kenneth Michael, Jr., Justin Gregory, Chris Gregory, Virgil Saville, Jr., and Kevin Hess.
Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
