Obituary for Nora Skerry Orrell (Skerry)
Nora Skerry Orrell, 61, passed away suddenly on Friday, December 23, 2022, at her home in Hedgesville, WV.
Born April 4, 1961, she was the daughter of George E. Skerry and the late Jean Marie (Augustine) Skerry.
Nora is survived by her husband, Reverdy Lewin Orrell, III; sister Karen Skerry Harrity & her husband Richard Harrity and niece/nephew Jenna & Jonathan Harrity, brothers Kevin Skerry, Patrick Skerry and wife Clare Skerry. Additionally, she is survived by stepson Reverdy Lewin Orrell, IV and wife Sara Nelson Orrell and grandchildren Jackson Reverdy Orrell & Beckett Hiland Orrell; along with numerous cousins.
A former FDA Investigator she enjoyed cooking, helping others, watching the Washington Capitals, being with her family, and especially pampering her dogs Sasha & Karly (Cavalier King Charles Spaniels). She has crossed the Rainbow Bridge and has reunited with Lacey Louise (Cocker), Cheyanne (Sheltie), Brandi (Cocker), Piper & Skippy (Pomeranians) & Meeko (Pekingese).
She always thought of others first and would go out of her way to help anyone. Nora was a loving, giving & caring person.
A memorial service will take place at a later date.
