Obituary for Masie Rose James (Watson)
Masie R. James (Summerson), 96 of Charlotte, NC, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 9, 2021.
Born January 7, 1925, in Laxon, Watauga, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late John L. Watson and the late Rose Mae Watson.
She is survived by daughters, Janet Holdridge and husband, Kenneth of Inwood, Donna Beamon and husband, David of Charlotte, NC; sons, John Summerson and wife, Diane of Inwood, WV, Bradley Summerson and wife, Alma of Frazier’s Bottom, and Randy Summerson of Martinsburg.
She is preceded in death by husbands Gerald Summerson and Jesse James, seven brothers, five sisters; son Gerald Summerson, and daughter Gail Kouhout.
Masie is blessed with 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 10 great-great grandchildren.
Masie was a longtime resident in Berkeley County, and a member of the New Beginning Full Gospel Church on Williamsport Pike in Martinsburg.
All services and interment will be private
