Obituary for Mary Carlene Shrader (Hubbard)
Mary Carlene (Hubbard) Shrader, age 85 of Hagerstown, Maryland went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 6, 2023.
Born April 3, 1937, she was the first born child of seven kids to the late Claude A. Hubbard and Bitha Jane (Gibson) Hubbard.
She will be lovingly remembered by her daughters, Sheree (Frank) Lesznar of Frederick, MD; Sharon (Vic) Grasso of Hagerstown, MD and Susan (Paul) Skoda of Nottingham, MD.
She was "Gram/Grammy" to six granddaughters; Carrie (Ike) Rice, Michele (Danny) Musselman, Kelly (Chris) Lesznar, Ashlie (Keith) Swann, Erin (Nick) Case and Noelle (Bobby) Skoda.
She was "Great Gram" to Derek and Noah Rice, Bradley (Kayla) Musselman, Morgan Musselman, Emma and Jax Swann and Carson and Jonah Case.
Carlene was predeceased by the love of her life/husband, Melvin Lee Shrader, sisters Betty Asbury, Charlotte Ross, Shelby Givan and brother, Gerald Hubbard.
She is survived by brother Douglas Hubbard and sister Dena Leslie.
Carlene was a woman of strong faith and was a member for many years of the First Church of God, Rockville, MD and then the Independent Bible Church of Falling Waters, WV.
A private family graveside service and interment will be at Greenlawn Cemetery, Williamsport, MD on Friday, March 17, 2023 at 11:00am.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions be made to Doey's House, 11370 Caring Pathway Lane, Hagerstown, MD 21742, in her name for the devoting and compassionate care they provided to her during her last days.
