Obituary for Mary Lucille Moomaw (Funkhouser)
Mary Funkhouser Moomaw, 106, of Martinsburg passed away peacefully on October 17th.
Born on March 13, 1914, she was the fourth of 10 children born to Tobias and Martha Funkhouser of Jerome, VA.
She is survived by her daughter, Jane Stafford; five grandchildren, DeNeal Stafford, Michelle Stafford, Marc Thomas, Steve Thomas, and David Stafford; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Moomaw, and one daughter, Connie Thomas.
The Brown Funeral Home will be open for the family to receive friends only from the hours of 9am to 10am on Friday, October 23, 2020. The funeral service will be held immediately after at 10am. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Interment will be at East lawn Memorial Gardens in Harrisonburg, VA, at 2pm.
