Obituary for Linda Kayann Corbin (Shanholtz)

Linda K. (Shanholtz) Corbin, 75, Martinsburg WV, passed away Tuesday November 15th, 2022 at home while under the care of family and Hospice of the Panhandle, after a long courageous battle with non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma.

Born June 19th, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Osa B. and Georgia W. (Kidwell) Shanholtz.

Linda was a loving and faithful wife to Fred M. Corbin for over 58 years. In addition to Fred, she is survived by her daughter, Yvonne R. (Corbin) Gray and husband Jerry L. Gray Jr., son F. Michael Corbin and partner Christy, grandsons, Quinton M. Gray, Corbin E. Beeghly, and Corey S. Gray and partner, Kayla Oliver, brother and sister in law, Joseph D. and Mary Ellen Shanholtz, brothers and sisters, in laws, Jack D. and Phyllis Corbin, Max B., Betty Corbin, Gertrude Miller, many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is also survived by her beloved Chihuahua and constant companion, “Lil Bit.”

She is preceded in death by her parents and beloved daughter, Kelly A. (Corbin) Butts, and many loved family pets.

Linda loved spending time with her family and friends at the river with an abundance of food, always. Hobbies included attending auctions, antiquing, crafting, shopping, and flower gardening.

Grave site services, only for family and friends, will be held Friday, November 18th, 2022 at Pleasant View Memorial Gardens at 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Panhandle, American Cancer Society, and/or Berkeley County Humane Society.
