Obituary for Lewis Alvia Avey Sr.
Lewis Alvia Avey, Sr., 82, of Martinsburg, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021.
Born February 8, 1939 in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Paul Revere Avey and Edna Lee (Moler) Avey.
Lewis was a member of the EUB church in Great Cacapon, and he retired from CertainTeed.
He is survived by his son, Lewis A. Avey, Jr. of Martinsburg; two daughters, Marjorie D. DeHaven and husband, Kenny, Hedgesville and Crystal D. Avey of Baltimore, MD; four grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Leslie L. Avey of Ohio; and two sisters, Eileen V. Mason and Helen J. Youngblood both of Hagerstown, MD.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Spillman Avey; one sister, Juanita Johnson; and three brothers, Delvan M., Rollen L., and Paul R. Avey, Jr.
Private graveside services will be held at Cedar Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown.
