Obituary for Lelesta May Underwood (Vanorsdale)
Lelesta May Vanorsdale Underwood, 91, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at Hospice Inpatient Facility.
Born June 19, 1930 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Edward Vanorsdale and Mary Elizabeth Stotler Vanorsdale.
She attended the Vanville Christian Church and the Senior Center. She was also a life member of the VFW. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.
She is survived by one child, Charles T. Underwood, Jr and wife, Sandra Underwood. of Martinsburg; four grandchildren, Natalie May Ring, Monica Lynn Michael, Susan Renee Underwood, and Bridget May Underwood; six great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charlie Vanorsdale of Gerrardstown, and Joseph Vanorsdale of Georgia; and one sister, Delores Talbott of Martinsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles T. Underwood, Sr.; one daughter Brenda Lee Ring and husband Douglas Ring, four brothers, Thomas, Ralph, Johnny, and Vernon Vanorsdale; and five sisters, Madeline Foltz, Mildred Dockeny, Marylee Underwood, Phylles Vanorsdale,
And Beverly Clark.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 4, 2022 at 10:00 AM at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Donivan officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the funeral home.
Interment will be private.
