Obituary for Larissa Jocylin Strosnider (Cantrall)
Larissa Jocylin (Cantrall) Strosnider, 36, of Winchester, Virginia passed away peacefully on Friday, May 19th, 2023, at Berkeley Medical Center surrounded by her loving family.
Larissa was born Feb 27, 1987, in Leesburg, VA. She is the daughter of Mike Cantrall and the late Angela D. Cantrall Reese.
She is survived by three children she adored, her two sons, Michael Cantrall Achter and Christopher Cantrall Achter; and her daughter, Lisa Jane Strosnider “LJ”. She is also survived by three sisters, Cynthia Lynn Cantrall, Kristina Fowler and Kirsten Nicole Walsh; and two brothers, Jamie Reese, and Micheal Reese.
Larissa lived her life in stubborn defiance of every adversity that presented itself to her. She found joy amidst darkness, humor amidst sorrow, and grace amidst immense pain. Her openness, generosity, and brave honesty in sharing her story became a profound source of inspiration, touching lives near and far. She believed in her heart that God had given her a greater purpose in life, that in bearing witness to her suffering we would be reminded to find gratitude in our own. She asked us in her own words to cherish every single second of this life we have been gifted with.
Larissa will be remembered for her tender heart, her resplendent smile, her strength and determination, and her fierce love of life and of her family.
Service and interment will be private.
