Obituary for Kenneth Stephen Partsch

Kenneth Partsch, 87, of Hedgesville, West Virginia, passed away peacefully Friday, April 29, 2022 at Winchester Medical Center surrounded by his loving wife and family.

Born April 7, 1935, he was the son of the late Adam Partsch and Rose Josephine (Kemp) Partsch.

He is survived by his wife, Gail (Ross) Partsch; two sons, Kenneth Partsch Jr. (Jodi) and Michael Partsch (Sara); eight daughters, Kimberly Partsch (Richard Lau), Michelle Partsch Evans, Lisa Butler (Mike), Kimberly Partsch Carter, Kathryn Partsch Tapscott, Karissa Altizer (Rich), Krystin Partsch (Bob Marcou), and Sandra Jervey Ross, and his sister, Rose Marie Blickenstaff; nineteen grandchildren and twenty-six great grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Jack Blickenstaff, and daughter Dolores Hartnett.

Kenneth was born in Johnstown Pennsylvania and was the eldest of two children. He helped out on his family's dairy farm until he found employment outside his home.

In 1962 Kenneth began his 35 year career at TWA (Trans World Airlines). He worked at Baltimore Washington International Airport (BWI), District of Colombia/National Airport (DCA), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), and later transferred to Dulles International Airport (IAD) where he continued to work in the Operations department/weight and balance, until he retired in 1997. Kenneth also worked at All Saints Catholic School as a bus driver for many years and coached little league baseball in Manassas, Virginia. He enjoyed taking his kids and grandkids on trips and camping. As well as being an avid hunter he found time to relax golfing with friends and family.

Family will receive friends on Thursday, May 5, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, May 6, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Leo Catholic Church in Inwood with Father William Kuchinsky celebrant.
