Obituary for Kellie Pond
Kellie Pond, 46, passed away Friday, December 30 2022 at Berkeley Medical Center.
Born January 30, 1976 in Fairfax, VA, she is the much beloved daughter of Mark and Lellie Pond.
Kellie attended Langley High School in McLean, V., Frank W. Cox high School in Virginia Beach VA., and Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA.
Kellie was a remarkable athlete having lettered in four sports as a junior in high school as well as Homecoming Queen, Artistic, bright, and beautiful. Lover of trivia, music, and Sudoku, always making a warm home in her many moves – Kansas, Texas, Maryland, Virginia, and West Virginia. Kellie had a quick wit making all around her laugh. Kellie had a gift of making everyone she met feel like an old friend. She had a soft spot for children and animals. Kellie was the oldest of 7 children, mother of 2 lovely daughters, and 3 young grandchildren.
Kellie is survived by her husband, John Sherman; her parents, Mark and Lellie Pond; two daughters, Katlyn Gingrich and husband Tim, Haley Rose Kramer and significant other Tyler Brewer; stepdaughter Mackenzie Sherman; three grandchildren; Jameson Gingrich, Oakleigh Gingrich, and Harper Brewer.
In addition, three sisters; Terri Murray and husband Scott, Eryn Fuhr and husband Timothy, Erika Woodward and husband Leo; three brothers, Brad Pond and wife Amanda, Ryan Pond and wife Tammy, Scot Pond and wife Amber, Kellie had an additional 27 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
