Obituary for Kathy Elizabeth Mason
Kathy Elizabeth Mason, age 62, passed peacefully on January 15, 2021 at Hospice of the Panhandle surrounded by family.
She was the daughter of the late Harold Warner Mason and Geraldine Elizabeth (Hess) Mason. She worked in the healthcare field with the transportation of patients.
Kathy was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She had an infectious laugh, never met a stranger and was a pillar of strength for the community.
She is survived by and her best life-long friend, Dawn Kipps; son, Shawn Mason of Inwood; daughters Holly Howsare and husband, David, of Bedford, PA, Kyra Burnett of Fairmont; three grandchildren, Shawn, Aiden, and Hadley; brother Roger Mason and wife, Vail.
Aside from her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Erica Elizabeth Mason.
The Brown Funeral home for family to receive friends on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 from the hours of 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. only. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing and follow directives.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Tom Boggess officiating. Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
