Obituary for Julia Ann Gatrell
Julia Ann Gatrell, 68, of Martinsburg passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at her home.
Born September 8, 1952 in Martinsburg she was the daughter of the late Ralph Stephens and Margaret Keesecker Stephens.
Julia was a lifelong member of Second Baptist Church of Martinsburg. She taught Sunday School and was active in WMU. She was a graduate of Martinsburg High School and taught there for 20 years then she went to Spring Mills High School for 4 years. She loved football, Washington Football team, baseball, Washington Nationals, and listening to local football, and basketball games.
She is survived by her husband, Patrick Gatrell; daughters, Emily McClung and husband, Reece, and Ariel Gatrell and partner, Steven Berry; grandchildren, Christopher, Calum, Liam, and Audrey; sisters, Karen Butcher and husband, Paul and Pamela Butcher and husband, Roger; brothers, Craig Stephens and wife, Brenda, and Scott Stephens; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mark Stephens; a sister, Cynthia Stephens; and a nephew, J.R. Butcher.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
