Obituary for Juanita Jane Dotson (Brooks)
Juanita Jane Dotson, 87, passed away on Tuesday, November 17, 2020 at Clary Grove Nursing Home.
Born August 1, 1933 in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Grantham) Brooks.
She was a member of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She was a member of the Shenandoah Temple 913 Daughters of the Elks, the Bethel Chapter #36 Order of the Eastern Star, and also a member of Duketts.
She is survived by one son, Rodney C. Dotson of Martinsburg; two sisters, Mildred Weaver of Richmond, VA and Edna Diggs; one aunt Berniece Parks; sisters-in-law, Frances Rideout and Nancy Shanton (Billy); and a hosts of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Donald O. Dotson; three brothers, Leo “Billy” Brooks, Louis Brooks, and Leon “Pappy” Brooks; and one sister, Delores “Tiny” Brooks.
The Brown Funeral Home will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours of 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2020 followed by a homegoing service at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Edward Hall and Pastor Jackson officiating. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Interment will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery
