Obituary for Jesse Coe Dunham, Jr.

Jesse Coe Dunham, Jr., 84, of Hedgesville, passed away on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Berkeley Medical Center.

Born August 30, 1936 in Berkeley County, he was the son of the late Jesse Coe Dunham, Sr., and Geneva (DeHaven) Dunham.

Jesse loved farming and Monday Stock Sales.

He is survived by his wife, Bernice (Silver) Dunham; son, Jesse C. Dunham, III and wife, Sherry, of Shanghai; Daughter, Lisa Gail Brecker and husband, Keith, of St. Thomas, Pennsylvania; two grandchildren who were his pride and joy, Russell Todd Dunham, Elizabeth Bricker; two step grandchildren, Erin Barker Lehman and Daniel Barker; and two brothers, Clarence Dunham of Inwood and Leroy Dunham and wife, Delores of Glengary; sister in law, Virginia Dunham of Glengary; and a very special friend, Tommy Puffenburger.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Dick Dunham and sister in law Carololyn Dunham.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Panhandle Health for their care and compassion. Also, the Dunham family would like to offer their gratitude for family members that helped with his care, visits and food.

Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood with Hilda Joy Snyder and Patricia Burkhart officiating.

Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.

Interment will be private.
