Jennifer Kathleen Guillory, 47, of Harpers Ferry, passed away Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family and under the care of Hospice. Born February 22, 1975, in Albuquerque, New Mexico, she was the daughter of Linda Marie Ardoin Smith, and husband Berkeley Carl Smith, of Dothan, Alabama, and the late Rufus Guillory.
Jennifer was a member of the Sunnyside New Life Community Church. She was a wonderful, loving mother and a strong woman. She ran marathons and loved baking, riding in her Jeep, roller skating, and going to the beach. She loved the water and her favorite animals were dolphins and jelly fish. She could always find a Starbucks.
In addition to her mother and stepfather, she is survived by her husband, Philip Dan Hournbuckle, of Harpers Ferry; one son, Johnnathan Hournbuckle of Harpers Ferry, two daughters: Victoria Guillory, of Ranson, and Izzabella Hournbuckle, of Harpers Ferry; two brothers: Jason Guillory, of Dothan, Alabama, and Joaquin Smith, of San Antonio, Texas, her aunt, Joyce “Nanny” Ardoin. and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Wilson and Vergie Ardoin; paternal grandparents, Wilton and Eula Guillory; her great grandmother, Victoria Allen, and her uncle Joseph Ardoin.
A funeral service will be held 10 am, Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the Sunnyside New Life Community Church, 4521 Mountville Rd., Frederick, MD 21703, with the Pastor Dwayne Bell officiating. Interment will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery, Harpers Ferry, WV. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home, Ranson, WV.
