Obituary for Janet A. "Peggy" Nesmith (Shade)
Janet A. "Peggy" Nesmith, 84, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Monday, May 17, 2021.
Born January 24, 1937 in Berkeley County, WV, she was the daughter of the late Miller and Mabel (Crabbe) Shade.
She was employed by Corning Glass Company until she retired after 36 years of service. She belonged to the ALL Church Church of God.
She is survived by son Randy W. Shade and wife, Paula, of Martinsburg; daughter, Linda K. Grizzle of Cumming, GA; two stepsons, Danny Gray of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, and Troy E. Nesmith of Newark, DE; one brother, Jerry Shade of Johnson City, TN; and one sister, Virginia Lee Hess of Martinsburg.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Troy A. Nesmith; her first husband, Merle W. Shade; one brother, James M. Shade; one sister, Mary Lou Shade; and one son-in-law, James Grizzle.
The Brown Funeral Home will be open to receive friends only from the hours of 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2021. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 21, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home with Bishop Richard Knight officiating.
Interment will be in Rosedale Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to ALL Church Church of God, 263 State Cir, Martinsburg, WV 25401or Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility, 330 Hospice Ln., Kearneysville, WV 25430.
