Obituary for James Nathaniel Taylor Jr.
James Nathaniel Taylor Jr, 73, of Charles Town, West Virginia went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 9, 2023, at his home.
Born December 31, 1949, in Jefferson County, he was the son of the late James N Taylor Sr and Mazie Lee Taylor.
Mr. Taylor was a long-time employee of 3M, Dupont, and Quad Graphics.
He is survived by his children: Jarell Taylor (Stephanie), of Winchester, Virginia, Michelle “Shelly” Brown, of Martinsburg, Donia Brooks, of Woodbridge, Virginia; stepchildren: LaSonya Holmes, of Germantown, Maryland, and Latoya Underwood, of Martinsburg; brother John W. McDonald (Terri), of Ranson, Raymond D. Taylor (Marion), of Martinsburg, Leon Taylor (Kim), of Newark, Delaware; sisters: Doris Taylor (Samuel) of Charles Town, and Carolyn Gregory (Maurice), of Inwood; grandchildren: Daiveyon Monroe, Roman Brown, Marcel Brooks, Marcus Brooks, Brandon Taylor, Jadelyn Taylor, Jonovan Taylor, Akilah Hijazi, Ambriah Taylor, Kiyana Underwood, and long-time best friend Lowell Holmes.
In addition, he is preceded in death by his father, James N. Taylor Sr., his mother, Mazie Taylor, and significant other Gwendolyn Holmes Underwood.
A Funeral service will be held 11 am, Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Wainwright Baptist Church, Charles Town, WV, with the Pastor Paul Brown officiating. The family will receive friends at the church at 10 am prior to the service.
Interment will be in the Pleasant View Memory Gardens. Arrangements by the Brown Funeral Homes, Jefferson Chapel, Ranson, WV.
