Obituary for James Donald "Don" Myers
James "Don" Donald Myers, 93, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Friday, April 2, 2021 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.
Born September 2, 1927 in Berkeley County, WV, he was the son of the late William Albert and Pearl E. (Davis) Myers.
He served in the United States Army from 1945-1947. In 1989, he retired from CSX after 25 years of service. Prior to his time at CSX, he had been employed at the National Cathedral in Washington, DC. He was a member of Winchester Avenue Christian Church but for many years attended Grace Renewed.
He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Karen Ann Roderick Myers; grandchildren, Myra L. Myers, Amanda K. Myers and significant other, Chase Conaway; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Madelein E. Cole Myers; one son, Derry Mike Myers; and two brothers, Grantham A., and William Lee Myers.
Service and interment are private.
