Obituary for Ignace Calvaire "Iggy" Disasi
Ignace “Iggy” Disasi, 56, of Martinsburg passed away on Thursday, January 26th, 2023 at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD after a long battle with cancer.
Born April 28th, 1966, in Kinshasa, DRC, he was the son of Francois Disasi and Seraphine Mizaku Disasi.
He is survived by his wife, Janice Linaweaver Disasi; two daughters Saraphine Tashi (Ardit) and Solange Disasi; and one grandson, Jordan Tashi. He will also be missed by his many brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
Iggy was a beloved family man who enjoyed barbecuing and hosting parties for his loved ones. His hobbies included fishing, fixing up old cars, carpentry, and generally tinkering with electronics. Iggy was a genuine, warm, and selfless man who made everyone he talked to feel loved and supported.
Viewing will begin at 2pm Tuesday, January 31, 2023, with services to follow at 3pm at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood, WV. Afterwards, the family will be gathering at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 2407 Delmar Orchard Road, Martinsburg, WV for a reception.
