Obituary for Hilda La Vaun Kriss (Kerns)
Hilda LaVaun Kerns Kriss, 74, of Martinsburg went peacefully to be with Jesus on Monday, October 26, 2020.
Born February 28, 1946 she was the daughter of the late Leroy Cury and Hilda Neff Staubs.
Hilda was an active member at Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church and involved in the Bus Ministry. Hilda loved gardening and sewing.
She is survived by three sons, Terry Kerns and wife, Donna of Inwood, Dewey Kriss and wife, Melesa of Kearneysville, and Roger Kriss and wife, Sandy of Kearneysville; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Hardy.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 2, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Corey Bane officiating. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Interment will be in Maranatha Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church Bus Ministry, 2251 Williamsport Pike, Martinsburg, WV 25404.
