Obituary for Herbert Neal Markley
Herbert Neal Markley, 79, of Martinsburg passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020.
Born March 5, 1941 in Hedgesville, WV he was the son of the late Edward Frank and Irene Virginia Elliott Markley.
He was retired from Mack Truck and proudly served in the US Air Force. He was a member of Full Gospel Pentecostal Church.
He is survived by his wife of forty-six years, Janice Bennett Markley; children Jennifer Markley, Rose Ann Dubose, and David Mills; grandchildren, Bethany Sanchez, Noah Caton, Jordan Caton, Larry Caton, Lindsay Schneider, and Danny Mills; two sisters, Rose Dowdy and Ann Owens; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Treadaway and Stella Cammer; and two brothers, Donald and Harold Markley.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. at the Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Chuck Donivan officiating. Family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. prior to the service.
Military graveside honors will be conducted at Pleasant View Memory Gardens. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
