Obituary for Henry Francis "Junior" Shamburg, Jr.
Henry “Junior” Francis Shamburg, Jr. “Pap” “Pappy” or “Paw Paw”, 89, of Martinsburg passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2021 at the Berkeley Medical Center.
Born June 9, 1931 in Berkeley County, WV he was the son of the late Henry Francis Shamburg and Rose Coffman Shamburg.
He was a veteran of the US Army. He was a member of the Norwalk Car Club, Martinsburg Lion’s Club, and the American Legion of Martinsburg.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Yeakley Shamburg; two sons, Rich Shamburg (Claudia), David Shamburg; two daughters, Lisa Day (Marshall), Tammy Bond (Bob); eight grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bill Shamburg (Nancy) and Ronnie Shamburg; brother-in-law Kenneth P. Yeakley, Sr.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three brothers, Herman, Everett, and Gene Shamburg; and three sisters, Frances Shamburg, Edna Cain, and Emily Hough.
The Brown Funeral Home will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 3, 2021.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Chris Butler officiating. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Military honors will be held at Rosedale Cemetery.
