Obituary for Hazel LaRue Lee (Jessen)
Hazel LaRue Lee, 86 of Harpers Ferry passed away Wednesday, August 24, 2022 in the Care Haven Center. Born November 29, 1935 in Ellicott City, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late John Christian Jessen and Mary Adlaid Orem Jessen. Hazel worked for GEM in sales and had her own cleaning business. She loved gardening, playing in the dirt and animals.
She is survived by son, Tommy Lee of Baltimore, Maryland, daughters, Delores Welding and husband Daniel of Harpers Ferry and Virginia Lee of Gaithersburg, Maryland, two sisters, Dorothy Ridgely of Baltimore, Maryland and Beverly Purcell of Hedgesville and grandchildren, Noel Turek and Bella Lee.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Franklin Lee, James Lee, Jr. and brothers, Junior, Tommy, Billy, Vernon, Randy and Charles Jessen and sisters, Johanna Barnes and Mary Brown.
Services and interment will be private.
