George Isiah Hite, 75, of Martinsburg, passed away Monday, October 10, 2022 at the hospice inpatient facility in Kearneysville.

Born February 21, 1947 in Berkeley County he was the son of the late William Hite and Izola Virginia “Butts” Miller Hite.

He is survived by his sons, Phil and Scottie; daughters, Merle and Linda; brothers, Kenneth, David, Buster, Ronnie, Roger, and Donald; and his fiancée Nancy Wood; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren, including his partner in crime and caregiver Chelsy Jianeeny

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sons, George Hite, Jr., Fabian “Tunce” Hite; and brothers; Larry Hite, Melvin Miller, and Leroy Miller; and one sister, Margaret “Sissy” Benner.

George was a caring, loving, heart of gold. Redskin fan who loved rides and long drives.

Family will receive friends Monday, October 17, 2022 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at South Berkeley Chapel.

Services will be held, Tuesday, October 18, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. at the Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.

Interment will be in Bunker Hill Cemetery
