Obituary for Gary Wayne "Red" Smith
Gary Wayne “Red” Smith, 56, of Gerrardstown, WV passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021 at Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility.
Born February 1, 1965 in Martinsburg, he is the son of Betty Barrett Smith and the late David Clifford Smith.
He is survived by one son, Gary Smith, II; one daughter, Chelsie Smith; two grandchildren, Rowan Smith, and Julian Henson-Smith; two brothers, David Smith, and Roger Smith; eight sisters, Donna Johnson, Elizabeth Bishop, Janice Baldwin, Sandra Ford, Lisa Campbell, Cathy Tomasik, Crystal Price and Melody Cool.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Sean Jason Faulkner; and two brothers, James and Steven Smith.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, May 10, 2021 at Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood.
Family will receive friends only from 1:00 to 2:00 PM one hour prior to the service.
Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Interment will be in Gerrardstown Cemetery.
