Obituary for Franklin Wayne Jackson
Franklin Wayne Jackson, 73, died December 19, 2020 at Winchester Medical Center from complications due to COVID-19.
Born May 6, 1947 in Charles Town, WV, he was the son of the late Benjamin Franklin Jackson and Betty Lou D
illow.
Growing up in in Jefferson County, WV, he was known by family and friends as “Frankie”, and was a graduate of Harpers Ferry High School, class of 1965, and a 1970 graduate of Shepherd College. While at Shepherd, he joined the Epsilon Kappa chapter of Delta Sigma Pi business fraternity and served as president his senior year.
Over the years he resided and worked in Alexandria, Fairfax, and Springfield, VA, Waldorf, MD and Loudon, TN primarily in business and IT consulting.
He is survived by his daughter, Kerri A. Burkhart (Larry) of Martinsburg, WV; son, Joshua R. Jackson (Leslie) of Landenberg, PA; and four grandchildren, Nicholas Burkhart, Isaac Jackson, Charlotte Jackson, and Chloe Jackson.
The family extends its appreciation to the nurses and staff at Evergreen Health and Rehab in Winchester, VA for his care over the last two years.
Services and interment will be private.
