Obituary for Frances Elaine Mills (DeHaven)
Frances Elaine DeHaven Mills, 90, of Martinsburg, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at Stonerise of Martinsburg.
Born November 21, 1932, in Inwood, she was the daughter of the late Berlin and Lelian (Taylor) DeHaven.
Frances was a hairdresser at Milly Shepherd’s salon, Beautyland Hairstylists. She is a retired beautician, having owned her own salon, Fran’s Beauty Shop. She was a 70 plus year member of Winchester Avenue Christian Church. Frances was a life member of the Moose and Past Senior Regent with the Women of the Moose.
She is survived by; one son, Robert V. Mills and wife, Paula; one daughter, Marsha O’Roke and husband, Charles "Chip"; two grandsons, Anthony Corbin, and R.V. Mills, II; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceeded in death by her husband of 71 years, Boyd “Bub” Vincent Mills.
Funeral service will be held Friday, December 30, 2022, at the Brown Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor W. Scott Summers officiating.
Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be in Chestnut Grove Cemetery.
The family would like to extend their thanks to the staff at Stonerise Nursing Home for the care of their Mother and Father over the last five years.
