Obituary for Florence W. Oakley (Tompkins)
Florence W. Oakley, 84, of Ranson, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at the Willow Tree Nursing Home.
Born December 13, 1936 in Jersey City, NJ she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Blanche Marie Hoss Tompkins.
She loved to sing to the Lord and wrote her own songs. She was a Christian all her life.
She is survived by one son, Victor Oakley and wife, Annabell of Leesburg, VA; four daughters, Grace LaBuff and husband, Sonny of Bute, MT, Frances Destefano and husband, Frank of Charles Town, Nancy Thomas and husband Greg of SC, and Geraldine Anderson and husband, Mike of KY; eight grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Tompkins of OH; and one sister, Charlotte of FL.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur A. Oakley; one son, William Oakley; and one brother, Roger Tompkins.
Service and interment are private.
