Obituary for Edward G Robertson
Edward G. Robertson, 74, of Gerrardstown passed away on Monday, March 1, 2021 at the Martinsburg VA Medical Center.
Born January 27, 1947, in Martinsburg, he was the son of the late Laurie P. (Sarge) and Margaret L. (Peggy) Wellen Robertson.
Ed spent several years in the United States Air Force, stationed at the Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldboro, NC. and served in Vietnam. He then moved back to Martinsburg and worked at the VA Medical Center in Engineering, retiring after 30 years of service. After retirement he worked at Lowes in the paint department for several years.
He is survived by three daughters, Tracey L. Brown and Amanda R. Brown of Martinsburg and Rachel E. Meadows, and husband, Eric of Inwood; one sister, Marcella Robertson, six grandchildren, Michael, Kailyn, Kiara, Makayla and Kevin Brown, and Laila Artis; one great grandson, Braxton Cole; sister in law, Marsha Robertson; and brothers in law, Phillip W. Chrisman and wife, Trudy and Alvin R. Chrisman and wife, Betsy as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wives, Phyllis M. Robertson and Brenda K. Robertson; one brother, Maurice H. (Moe) Robertson; niece, Kendra M. Robertson, and son in law, Kevin D. Brown, Sr.
The Brown Funeral Home South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood will be open to receive friends only from the hours of 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, March 7, 2021. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Graveside service will be held on Monday, March 8, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Pleasant View Memory Gardens with Chaplain Christina J. Brooks-Signo officiating.
