Mr. Elmandorf spent most of his school years in Oneonta NY. In 1963 he enlisted into the United States Marine Corp, where he served very proudly in Vietnam and received many service metals, until he was honorably discharged in 1966. After coming home he became a family man and raised three families. He was a huge inspiration to all of the children that he raised, whether they were biological or not. He was the greatest DAD. After two failed attempts he found his soulmate and the family that he grew to consider his own. His wife of 38 years Mildred Elizabeth Elmandorf and six children. During this time Edward worked for Remington Arms Corporation, as well as commander of American Legion Post 920 Ilion, NY, and proudly served as an EMT on MOVAC ambulances for 14 years. He continuously kept busy to provide for the family. He was very dedicated and proud to be the family provider.

He is survived by his wife Millie Elmandorf, six daughters, Erika Elmandorf-Maine, Mary Haddad, Jaime Moore, Susan Keeler-Hernandez, Alisha Gibbons and Tammy Tilbe and three sons, Dennis Haynes, Rick Haynes, Bob Hall, as well as many, many grandchildren and great grandchildren whom he adored and enjoyed fishing with; and his siblings, two brothers Shawn and John Elmandorf and four sisters, Betty Riley, Pamela Wilbur, Linda Robbins and Yvonne Elmandorf; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Edward was predeceased by many loved ones but hit hard by the loss of five of his children, his sons, Edward Phillip Elmandorf, Roger Carl Keeler and Albert (AL) Keeler and two daughters, Colleen and Kimberly Elmandorf. He was also predeceased by his loving parents.
