Obituary for Earl Junior Lucas, Sr.
It is with great sadness that the family of Earl J. Lucas, Sr., announces his passing on April 12, 2021.
Born on January 20, 1940 in Charles Town, WV, he was the son of Vernie Leo and Blanche Mae Lucas.
Earl was a skilled brick mason before his retirement. He enjoyed blue grass music, fishing and attending the fair.
He is survived by his children, David (Loretta) Blair, Jenny (Paul) Hill, Ronald Lease, Darlene (Bill) Mills, Donna Reed (Tim Davis); his grandchildren, Heather Cook, Austin, Ryan and Tyler Lease, Haley Reed, Cheyenne Yingling; and one great granddaughter, Ariana Yingling; one brother, Clarence William Lucas; one uncle, Ernest D. Printz, Sr.; one aunt, Rose Early; and numerous cousins and extended family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Franklin Linwood and Richard Erwin; one sister, Elizabeth Louise; his wife, Donna Mae; and his son, Earl J. Lucas, Jr., (son of Gertrude I. Printz); and a grandson, Jaimie Wallace.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, April 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Jefferson Chapel Funeral Home. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the chapel. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Interment will be private.
