Obituary for Dorothy Marie Emmons
Dorothy Marie Emmons, 80, of Greencastle, PA passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the Waynesboro Hospital.
Born February 13, 1941 in Berkeley County, WV she was the daughter of the late Paul Price and Bessie Virginia Riner Price.
She is survived by her children, Dorothy M. Emmons, Wanda J. Emmons, Thomas E. Emmons, Jr., Timothy W. High, Linda M. Kesselring, Robin L. High, Betty J. Staley, Richard High and Kenneth E. High; fifty grandchildren; thirty-two great-grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and half-brothers and half-sisters, Lisa Price, Paul Price, Raymond Price, and Barbie Stolipher. In 2018 Tommy Lee High came to live with Dorothy and was the joy to her life. He would run to her saying Mom Ria is bad and they both would laugh.
She was preceded in death by her children, Elmer T. Emmons, Marvin L. High, Sr., Raymond High, and Thomas E. Emmons, Jr.; sister, Martha Kirby; and brother, Paul Gilmer Price.
The Brown Funeral Home will be open for family to receive friends only from the hours of 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon on Friday, February 26, 2021 followed by a funeral service at 12:00 noon, with Pastor Brad Nigh officiating. Visitors will be required to wear face masks, practice social distancing, and follow directives.
Interment will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
