Obituary for Donna Lee DeLauney (Butts)
Donna Lee DeLauney, 63, of Martinsburg passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022, at Care Haven Center.
She was born May 24, 1959, at Kings Daughters Hospital in Martinsburg to Gloria Butts (Burke) and the late Donald Butts.
Donna was a stay-at-home mom for many years. She then became the caretaker of her husband Michael safter he suffered from two strokes. She was a very loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother. In her spare time, she would love to spend as much time as she could outside in her flower garden. As time got a little harder for her, she adjusted to being inside and watching her favorite television shows with her husband.
She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Michael DeLauney and her loving mother Gloria Butts, both of Martinsburg. She also leaves behind her 2 children, daughter Stephanie Thomas and spouse Kenny Thomas and son, Michael Andrew (Andy) DeLauney and spouse, Maria DeLauney (Barthlow). She had 4 grandchildren, one granddaughter, Lexus (24), and three grandsons, Michael (19), Nathan (16), and Zachary (11).
She was recently preceded in death by her father Donald Butts, who she loved and adored deeply.
The family will receive friends and family on Sunday, December 11, 2022 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Brown Funeral Home in Martinsburg.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 12, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Carroll Williams officiating.
Interment will follow at Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
