Obituary for Deborah Louise Tidmore (Fletcher)

Deborah Louise Tidmore passed away on November 15th at the age of 73. Born as the daughter of a soldier, she traveled around the world with her parents, Billy Ray Fletcher, and Billie Anne Pryde. Both preceded her in death, as well as her brother Douglas Fletcher, and her son, Tracy Tidmore.

Deborah never settled in one place for long, always yearning to travel to new horizons. Her time in the Army (1967-1970) allowed her to see places she otherwise would not have. However, when she could not get somewhere, she would often read and research the history of these places, pouring through books that focused themselves on these settings. Her favorite place, however, was England; she was filled to the brim with knowledge about London’s history or little-known facts about King Henry VIII’s six wives. It gave her quite the edge on family game night when someone brought Trivial Pursuit to the table.

Deborah is survived by her siblings David Fletcher, Martha Pryde, and Daniel Fletcher and his wife, Glenda; daughter April Tidmore and her life partner, Todd Butts; grandchildren Chase Fowler, Cole Dressler and his wife, Brittany; great-grandchildren Jaxon and Jameson Dressler; and many other friends and extended family members.

The family will hold a private celebration of her life at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions to the charity of your choice be made in her memory.
