Obituary for David H. McCreary
David H. McCreary, 79, of Martinsburg passed away Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Stonerise, Berkeley Springs.
Born January 28, 1943 in Pittsburgh, PA he was the son of the late Howard Earl McCreary and Marie Henrietta (Platz) McCreary.
David worked as a D.C. Metro Police officer for over 20 years after serving in the Navy on the USS Saratoga.
David is survived by his wife of 40 years, Carole McCreary (Rodeheaver); a sister, Carol Myers; nephews, J.R. Myers, Matt Myers, Steve Myers, Chris Rose, Michael Rodeheaver, Dwayne Rodeheaver and Edward Cunningham; nieces, Sandy Myers and DeeAnn Higgins; and a brother-in-law Thomas Rodeheaver.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Jim Myers and Stanley Rodeheaver; sister-in-law, Patricia Saunders, and a niece, Angela Rodeheaver.
Family will receive friends on Friday, August 12, 2022 from 6PM-8PM at the Brown Funeral Home.
Interment will be private.
