Obituary for Charles William "Billy" Cosey, Jr.
Charles (Billy) William Cosey, Jr., 77 of Martinsburg passed away on Sunday, March 14, 2021.
Born April 1, 1943 in Hagerstown, MD, he was the son of the late Charles W. Cosey, Sr., and Helen Hareford Cosey Miller.
Charles was a member of the Martinsburg Moose, and the American Legion of Funkstown, MD. He graduated from South Hagerstown High School in 1961. He retired after 31 ½ years from Mack Truck, Hagerstown, MD, and Harpers Ferry Visitor Center & WV Visitor Center Northbound.
He is survived by his lovely wife, Mary Canby Cosey. They were married December 23, 1960. They were married 60 years and he always called her honey. Also survived by brothers, William S. Foster (Sara), of Martinsburg, and Gary Foster (Kathy), of Florida; a foster daughter, Tina Gaynor Foster Baker (CL), of Martinsburg; foster grandchildren, James and Roy Butts, Brian Weaver and Ron Wadsworth.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Cosey; and a grandson, Rev. William Bud Foster, II.
Graveside service at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Rosedale Cemetery with Pastor A.J. Roberts officiating.
